Adult ADHD
Late-recognized, overlooked, or highly masked ADHD, including chronic overfunctioning and burnout.

TELEHEALTH FOR ADULTS ACROSS OHIO
Thoughtful, compassionate therapy for adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, burnout, mood changes, and the exhaustion of holding everything together.

MEET AMY
I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker who works with adults to understand what is happening beneath the surface—especially when they appear capable and successful but maintaining that level of functioning has become exhausting.
My work is centered on adult ADHD that has been overlooked, heavily masked, or misunderstood, including the burnout that can develop after years of compensating, overfunctioning, and pushing through. I’m also deeply interested in the ways ADHD can intersect with anxiety, trauma, mood changes, hormonal shifts, and a nervous system that has spent too long in survival mode.
I bring warmth, curiosity, honesty, and humor into the therapy room. I’m conversational and direct, and I want therapy to feel like a place where you can speak freely, understand yourself more clearly, and work toward changes that are realistic for your actual life.
Music and movement have always influenced how I understand emotion, connection, and self-expression. My background in dance, coaching, and choreography continues to shape the creativity and flexibility I bring to my clinical work, particularly when traditional ways of explaining or processing emotions don’t quite fit.
I earned my Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University and am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio. I am also a Clinical Trauma Professional.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Late-recognized, overlooked, or highly masked ADHD, including chronic overfunctioning and burnout.
Anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and the patterns that keep your nervous system on alert.
Trauma-informed support for PTSD and the effects of spending too long in survival mode.
Depression, emotional exhaustion, PMDD, and the intersection of hormones, mood, anxiety, and ADHD.
You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or already know what is causing your symptoms. Part of our work may be identifying the patterns beneath what you have been experiencing.
MY CLINICAL APPROACH
I use an integrative and trauma-informed approach. Depending on your needs, our work may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
“The methods matter, but so does the relationship.”
I want you to understand why we are doing something, how it connects to your goals, and whether it is genuinely helping.
“You can look capable on the outside and still be using an enormous amount of energy just to keep up.”
DAYLIGHT COUNSELING SERVICESCOMPREHENSIVE ADULT ADHD ASSESSMENT
You may not relate to the stereotypical picture of ADHD. You may be organized, accomplished, dependable, and very good at holding everything together—while privately feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, inconsistent, or unsure why ordinary tasks require so much effort.
My comprehensive adult ADHD assessment looks beyond checklists and outward achievement. Together, we explore your history, current functioning, coping strategies, and the ways ADHD may overlap with anxiety, trauma, mood, and burnout.
The goal is clarity: a thoughtful understanding of what you are experiencing and recommendations that make sense for your life.
Learn About the Assessment ProcessTHE PROCESS
ADHD can be difficult to recognize in adults—especially in people who have spent years compensating, masking their difficulties, or appearing highly capable. This is not a diagnosis based on one questionnaire or a brief symptom checklist.
An in-depth conversation about current concerns, childhood, education, work, relationships, daily functioning, emotional health, and coping strategies.
Structured interviews and validated measures examining attention, executive functioning, impulsivity, restlessness, emotional regulation, and impairment.
Careful consideration of anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, sleep, hormonal changes, and other possible explanations.
Measures are reviewed and scored, information is integrated, and a personalized written report is prepared.
We review findings together, answer questions, and discuss individualized recommendations and appropriate next steps.
The goal is not to prove that you have ADHD or to talk you out of what you have experienced. It is to understand your experiences accurately and compassionately.
